Our ticket booths accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as cash payments. If you would rather pay cash, make sure to exchange your currency for Colombian pesos before your visit, as only local currency is accepted at the transportation ticket booth

Visiting with Children

If you’re bringing a baby or child in a stroller, be sure to bring plenty of water and sun block. Most of our restrooms are equipped with diaper-changing stations. Keep children close at all times in areas with stairs or steep slopes. Strollers can access the cable car or funicular but must be folded when entering. The children who If measure more than 100 cms, you must pay for transportation.

Senior can receive a discount by presenting their ID card. Priority in the queues will be given to individuals with reduced mobility due to the high volume of visitors.

Additionally, we offer wheelchairs for loan, which you can request from our staff if needed. It’s important to remember that the trails in Monserrate are uneven and steep, so we recommend visiting with someone who can assist you with the wheelchair. To simplify your visit, plan your arrival to avoid rush hours and access the busiest areas during less busy times.

We want your visit to be as comfortable as possible. Therefore, we prioritize seniors with reduced mobility and infants, who may be accompanied by up to two people. Additionally, if you are visibly pregnant, you will receive priority and can enter with a companion.

How to get here

Visiting Monserrate is an unforgettable experience, and reaching our ticket office is easy. This is how you get here, whether by car, public transportation, bicycle, or on foot.

Private car

If you choose to drive, you can easily access Monserrate via Avenida Circunvalar. From the north, take Avenida Carrera Septima south to Calle 26, then continue toward Avenida Circunvalar. From the south, use Carrera Decima and connect to Circunvalar heading north.

Parking

Upon arrival, you'll find a convenient parking lot adjacent to our ticket office, where you can leave your vehicle and start your visit.

GPS Guidance

Use apps such as Waze or Google Maps, entering “Taquilla Teleférico Monserrate” as your destination. The apps will guide you directly to the location and show you nearby parking options.

Public transportation

Bogotá has an efficient public transportation system that makes it easy to reach Monserrate.

Bicycle or Walking

For those who prefer physical activity, Monserrate is a perfect destination.

Bicycle: Bogotá has bike routes that will take you directly to Avenida Circunvalar. Near the ticket booth, there are places where you can secure your bicycle.

Walking: If you're downtown, you can walk along Carrera Séptima and go up Calle 21 or 22 to reach Avenida Circunvalar.

For your convenience, Monserrate offers wheelchair loans. This service is available for those in need and can be requested from our staff on-site. We recommend visiting with someone who can provide additional assistance, as the trails can be uneven and steep.

Safe transportation

To ensure your safety, we recommend using the white vehicles available at the Monserrate exit on Circunvalar. These vehicles are operated by Destiny Tours, which offers options for short tours or transfers to the airport and other areas outside the city. Avoid unsafe situations by choosing this reliable service.

How to get there from Monserrate: From the cable car or funicular station, you can find the white cars from Destiny Tours available on Avenida Circunvalar, which will take you to La Candelaria in about 10 minutes. If you prefer to walk, you can take Calle 21 or Calle 19; the walk will take about 20 to 25 minutes.

How to get there from Monserrate: Take a white car for safe transportation available on Avenida Circunvalar to the Gold Museum, which is located at Carrera 6 and Calle 16. The ride takes about 10 minutes. You can also walk from La Candelaria, which is approximately a 10-minute stroll away.

Botero Museum
